ChamSys MagicQ

CuePoints exports your cues to ChamSys MagicQ as a cuelist CSV: your cues with their timecode values, ready to become a timecode-triggered cue stack.

File > Export…, set up the cue types and tracks as described in Exporting to Consoles, and press Export to MagicQ Cuelist CSV.

One File Or Several

Individual File Per Track is the setting that matters here:

• Off: one CSV containing every selected cue type across every selected track.

• On: one CSV per track, each containing that track's cues.

If each track is a separate number with its own cue stack on the desk, turn it on. If the show is one continuous cue stack, leave it off.

Copy the file or files onto a USB stick.

Importing Into MagicQ

1. In the Cue Stack, switch to TC View.

2. Press the Import TC Timings soft button.

3. Choose the CuePoints CSV file.

MagicQ then offers three things:

• Make Cues: creates a cue for every timecode value and adds them to the current playback's Cue Stack. This is the one you want.

• Make TC Stack: builds a timecode stack.

• Load Markers: brings the times in as markers only.

Make sure the playback you want the cues on is the current one before you import, because that's where they land.
