QLab
Export your cues to QLab as an AppleScript that builds the cue list
CuePoints exports your cues to QLab as an AppleScript that builds the cue list for you.
File > Export…, set up the cue types and tracks as described in Exporting to Consoles, then press the button for your version:
Export to QLab 4 Applescript
Export to QLab 5 Applescript
Check which QLab you're running first. The two scripts are not interchangeable.
Name Your Cue Types To Match QLab
This is the trick that makes the export properly useful.
A CuePoint Type named after a QLab cue type creates that cue type in QLab. Call a type Lighting and you get Lighting cues; Network gives you Network cues; Audio gives you Audio cues.
So if the show is heading for QLab, name your CuePoint Types the QLab way from the start and the export arrives ready to work with rather than as a pile of generic cues to convert.
Running The Script
Open the QLab workspace the cues should go into.
Open the exported
.applescriptfile in Script Editor.Press Run.
The cues are built in the open workspace, each triggered at its timecode.
The export produces timecode-triggered cues, which is what you want for a show running to a clock. If you need cues that follow one another, set those follow times in QLab once the cues are in.
Live Control Is A Different Thing
QLab and CuePoints can also talk to each other live over OSC. CuePoints has a ready-made QLab preset, see OSC and Settings > OSC.
