ETC Eos

CuePoints exports your cues to ETC Eos as an ASCII show file: cues, pages, timecode items and sequences batched into one file.

File > Export…, set up the cue types and tracks as described in Exporting to Consoles, and press Export to ETC Eos ASCII.

Setting It Up

CUE PLAYBACKS: tick the CuePoint Types to export. If lighting is the only department going to the desk, tick Lighting and nothing else.

TRACK PLAYBACKS: tick the tracks.

Options: Eos has its own panel, covering how cue lists and timecode events are numbered and where they land. Set the numbering to a range the show isn't already using.

Then choose your Save Exported Files To Folder location and export.

Getting It Onto The Desk

Put the ASCII file on a USB stick, then on the console use the standard show-file import to bring it in.

Merge the import into your existing show rather than replacing it; an ASCII import brings cue and timecode data, and merging leaves the programming you've already done alone.

Live Control Is A Different Thing

This page is about exporting a cue list. Eos can also drive CuePoints live over OSC, so that pressing GO on the desk creates a cue in CuePoints as you tech. CuePoints has a ready-made Eos preset for this, see OSC and Settings > OSC.

That is usually the workflow you want during a tech, with the export used afterwards to hand the finished list to the desk.
