Licences
Licence types, signing in, and moving a licence between machines
Types Of Licences
Viewer licence is the free version, which allows anyone to open and view CuePoints projects. When you install CuePoints for the first time (before signing in to a paid account) it runs in Viewer mode. Great for opening projects, viewing notes and communicating your ideas. In Viewer mode you can add up to 10 cues and export these for testing purposes.
Annual Plan unlocks the full functionality of CuePoints: unlimited tracks & cues, full export, OSC and project saving.
Teams licence has identical functionality to the Annual Plan but lets businesses or institutions with multiple licences manage their seats from a single centralised account. Teams also get reduced pricing on multiple-licence purchases.

One licence is required per computer. Licences aren't designed to be shared or frequently moved between machines; a licence can only be active on a single computer at one time.
Purchasing Licences
Head to CuePoints.com to buy an Annual Plan, or purchase directly in the app: open the account panel (see Signing In below) and click Purchase full version, which takes you to secure checkout.
We also offer discounts and special licence types for teams & educational users. Get in touch at cuepoints.com/teams/
Signing In
CuePoints no longer uses licence keys, there's nothing to copy, paste, or lose. Instead you sign in with your email address, and your licence follows your account.
To sign in, click the status indicator (e.g. Viewer) at the bottom-left of the splash screen, or go to CuePoints > Account / Sign In…
Enter your email address and click Email me a code. We'll send you an email titled "Your CuePoints login code": enter the 8-digit code to finish signing in. That's it: no password, and the same email + code works here in the app and at your account online.
Using CuePoints On Another Computer
Your licence is active on one computer at a time, but there's no "deactivate" step anymore, moving is automatic.
Just sign in on the new computer. CuePoints notices your licence is active elsewhere and asks whether to Use here. Confirm, and your licence moves to the new machine; the old one simply drops back to Viewer until you sign in there again.
Because this happens through your account, you don't need access to the old machine: signing in on the new one and choosing Use here takes care of it remotely. (This replaces the old "deactivate" and "remote deactivation" steps entirely.)
Reinstalled Or Reset Your Computer?
If you reinstall CuePoints or reset the same computer, it recognises the hardware and offers to Reactivate your licence on this computer: no seat is lost and there's nothing to contact support about. Just confirm and you're back up and running.
Managing Your Account Online
Everything about your account lives at accounts.cuepoints.com, sign in with the same email + code. From there you can:
see your subscription, seats and role,
set a display name so teammates recognise you (anyone can set their own),
change your sign-in email, and
manage billing: update your card, add seats, or cancel (owners).
Teams work the same way: the account owner invites colleagues by email from the account page, and each person signs in with their own email and gets their own one-computer licence.
